New

So, this is a new thing to me, blogging. I was inspired after reading Jen's extra tasty message about OKCupid. You sold me on it, Jen.

I have disappeared. Currently, I have been very busy hiding out and growing up. This whole maturing thing is really odd. Contemplating buying a car, moving/buying a condo, and being in a REAL relationship. YIKES!! One thing at a time. To start, I will be moving to a lovely little condo that I call my "porn den." All I need to do now is put up some of that funky 70s porn mirror on my ceiling and I'll be set to start taping! It's great! All the walls are covered in mirrors! That makes up for its tininess. It's a loft within walking distance from Barton Springs with a wonderful spiral staircase and view of downtown Austin. I love it!

I fear, however, that it will take some getting used to. For example, I went there about a week ago with my boyfriend and he kept staring at himself from different angles in the many mirrors. I forget that most people are not so used to being around many full length mirrors. Having grown up taking dance lesson since I was 4 years old, seeing my reflection moving was not a distraction. The official move in date will be May 7th.

Nice to know that my blog entries are extra tasty.

If anyone knows why hiding out and growing up seem to be the norm, let me know. Its like my issue with lameness and responsibility. Why should responsible=lame?

Congrats on the new place. I would avoid getting shag carpet. It tends to get nappy and it eats things.

Responsibility doesn't have to equal lameness. Responsible people can be fun. I am...
You can pay all your bills and save up for a fabulous overseas trip at the same time.
You can stay up all night partying and still make it to work on time the next day.
You can choose whatever boys you want to play with but always use protection.
Sometime it's hard, like choosing who stays sober on a drinking excursion so you all get home safely.
Or deciding that you really don't need that solid teak bar at World Market, no matter how much your mouth waters at the sight of it.
(I am still working on this one...)

But it's part of growing up. Just keep a young attitude and don't give in to lameness! It is possible. :)
